We are extremely honoured to announce that FRED Engineering has been selected as part of a consortium of companies led by Bureau Veritas Nexta, to assist the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport in implementing the National Road Safety Plan 2030.
This is a three-year technical assistance whose general objectives are as follows:
- computerisation and centralisation of road safety information, also in relation to the implementation and management of web portals dedicated to the Inter-ministerial Road Safety Steering Committee Committee and the National Road Safety Observatory
- assistance to the Directorate General and its departments, as the national road safety lead agency
- assistance in the implementation of the Plan
- computerisation and simplification of monitoring process
- monitoring of regional and local plans, programmes and interventions
The specific objectives are instead:
- to provide the knowledge, assessments and tools to enable the effective and efficient management of the implementation programmes, creating the right conditions for the optimal use of resources on a national scale
- ensure adequate support for the coordination of actions related to the monitoring of the implementation of the programmes
- acquire and process data on the activities carried out and measure the effects obtained by the interventions, on the basis of appropriate indicators
- conduct analyses, studies and research in support of government action
- expand the structures responsible for road safety
- expand the network of experts and collaborations in the field of road safety
This is the first project of some strategic importance in which FRED Engineering is involved in Italy. Our ambition is to become a recognised reference in the field of road safety in Italy, as it already is in other regions of the world.
