FRED Engineering has just been awarded a major contract to deliver iRAP analysis and reporting for the selected 4,000 km of roads in the Philippines, which are part of the national road network managed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), in the form of iRAP Star Ratings and Safer Roads Investment Plans (SRIP) based on international best road safety practices and affordable high-return safety engineering countermeasures. The result of this analysis will be a report containing possible options/recommendations for road safety enhancements for the selected network. This study will showcase how engineering measures can save lives from road crashes in the Philippines.
The project, financed by the World Bank, also includes dissemination and learning activities aimed to mentor DPWH staff on iRAP protocols.
This technical assistance consolidates FRED Engineering’s presence in South-East Asia and confirms its leadership in the field of road safety with particular reference to assessments carried out using iRAP protocols.
