This assistance encompassed three main activities: (i) capacity building on road safety management, (ii) capacity building on crash analysis and (iii) revision of national guidelines and manuals.
More specifically, the assistance covered the following tasks: development of road safety education materials for schools; design and implementation of a campaign on the use of child restraints, training on crash and black spot analysis (including a pilot test on road safety auditing at a black spot identified from the crash data); training on vehicle technical inspections; training on driver learning and professional driving safety management; training on emergency services organization and procedures.
