The objective of the assistance was the implementation of Stage 2 Road Safety Audits for seven local road sections under implementation in the frame of the Regional and Local Road Connectivity Project in Albania. For one of them the proposed measures have been translated into a final design.

Description
The project included the Road Safety Audit of the detailed design of seven stretches of local roads, located in different, mainly mountainous, parts of Albania: Pogradec – Tushemisht, Qafe Thore – Theth, Fier – Seman, Bence – Lekdush, Gusmar – Kuc, Roskovec – Poshnje and Plepa – Golem.
On a section of the Fier – Seman road, the detailed design of the proposed measures has also been drawn up. The aim was to bring a pilot section up to the highest safety standards. The assistance also included work supervision.
